The best way to be realistic is awakens to keep the imagination. And the only sustaining the imagination is to see reality.

Two prizes of international stature marked Patxi Uriz's career in 2008. In April, his book Navarre a la Carte won the prize for the third best culinary travel guide in the world at the Gourmand Cookbook Awards (http://esp.reynogourmet.tv/) held in London, and in November, he won the Spanish National Geographic prize for a photograph taken at a country wedding in Angkor (Cambodia) (http://www.concursong.es).

Studies photography at the UPC Terrassa and the Institut de Estudis Fotogràfics Barcelona. Member of the House of Journalists of Tourism.

The first cross-border as a photographer was for humanitarian reasons after the war in the Balkans in 1996. This work was carried out near the TV camera Txus Barrena and resulted in the exposure The Fruits of War , traveling by Navarre for two years.

In 2000 I believe the agency Phototext work as a photojournalist and promoting new destinations. For six years traveling countries on five continents.
The stories have been published in various media such as magazines Altaïr, National Geographic Travel, Roads of the World, Travel, Landscapes from the Train, Just Auto, Fashion, Living in the Countryside, Integral, and Geo Traveler and the Sunday supplements for El Pais, La Vanguardia, El Periódico, El Mundo and Expansion.

During these years, much of the work done in the center travel and cuisine. I note especially two publications. The first is the book From the Earth to Rebost , winning best book of gastronomy at European 2004 and the second is Navarra to the Charter . During the years 2006-2007 and create this book under the title of Navarra to the Charter, I propose a holiday-gourmet menu by using the Community of Navarra. In April of 2008 is honored in London as the third best book of gastronomic tours of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards ( http://esp.reynogourmet.tv/ ).

At present I am preparing the book Polynesia with a Basque accent , a trip to the South Seas to follow the path of the marine Getaria Sunday Bonechea, discoverer of Tahiti.
